A NEW BLOG ON HEALTH IN MOZAMBIQUE

emanuele

My name is Emanuele Capobianco. I work for UNICEF Mozambique, where I am in charge of the Child Health and Nutrition section. I am a medical doctor by training and I have previously worked in East Africa, South Asia and the Middle East. Today, I am launching SAUDE E VIDA, a new blog on health in Mozambique.

In this space, I intend to share my thoughts and observations on the health sector in Mozambique – a dynamic, exciting and very challenging environment. I will try to analyze the public health situation in the country and the decisions that are being made within the sector. I will share what UNICEF does for the health of women and children in Mozambique and I will also try to go beyond this to look at the bigger picture, both at the national and international level.

You will see my posts on a regular basis. From time to time you will also see posts from colleagues in and outside Mozambique. I look forward to your comments, opinions and criticism: your feedback is key to creating a vibrant and relevant blog. I invite you to follow SAUDE E VIDA and to bookmark it or share it with others, if you find it of interest.

    Dear Emanuele,
Congratulations for such very important and good initiative. Wishing you and your family a very good 2012, com Saúde e Vida!
Talking about health and in particular on “Saúde e Vida” in Mozambique will be good to go a bit deeper into the Mozambican families and communities to ask them and explore what is missing to improve Saúde e Vida. With some of those answers I presume we can use the key ones to improve health to the majority of Mozambicans.
